DESCRIPTION

Notably document management system play crucial role to track and store any types of electronic documents as well as trace different versions modified by different users. In order to function effectively, companies require some sort of formalized system by which to not merely track and store, but also organize, retrieve and process.

The system itself typically provides support for a range of processes in regards to storage, tracking and retrieval while it can be act as a standalone system, performing all the necessary tasks to manage the respective documents.

 

DURATION

Training is slotted for 2 (two) full days from 9AM until 5PM.

 

OBJECTIVES

In details, at the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand Electronic Document Management Systems, its concepts and components as well as master its tools, techniques and media.
  2. Understand ISO 15489-1:2001 as a comprehensive standard of record management.
  3. Manage document end-to-end process from creation, use and disposal
  4. Manage archives and generate record appraisal.
  5. Preserve document and design emergency plan.
  6. Familiarize and understand one of Enterprise Content Management products, the open-source Alfresco.

Staffs, officers, supervisors and managers who are eager to understand, have the know-how, enhance and improve their skills in developing electronic documents, managing records in particular and mastering electronic document management systems in general.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY

In order for effective learning and full appreciation, the course will be delivered with 30% of the time devoted to important concepts and other theory topics and 70% allotted for hands-on lab exercises. Training lead will be assisted by presentation slides and actual demonstrations for clear understanding and smooth follow-through during the sessions. Active participation will be encouraged through individual work and collaborative effort.
